AfterThe challenge
What the field needed
Millennium High School's baseball field backs right up to a block wall, with homes directly behind it. The field needed tall netting behind and above its existing chain link backstop and dugout.
What we built
The system we designed and installed
Gorilla Netting set three tall two-piece steel poles. The holes were dug by hydrovac, the footings were poured from a concrete truck, and a crane raised each base section before the upper section was lowered onto it.
From a boom lift, the crew strung cables across the top and middle and hung two bays of black netting between the poles.
AfterThe outcome
What it means for the program
The field now has netting towering over the backstop and dugout, standing between the field and the homes behind it.
