Gorilla Netting replaced the baseball and softball field netting systems at Admiral Farragut Academy, a private military school in St. Petersburg. The project covered multiple fields, delivering new netting on existing pole structures for both the baseball and softball programs.

Location: St. Petersburg, FL

Challenge
The academy's baseball and softball fields had aging netting in need of replacement. Multiple field configurations — including backstop and baseline netting systems — required custom-fitted panels for each application.
Solution
For baseball, Gorilla Netting replaced netting on a five-pole system spanning 200 feet at 50 feet above grade, with a 150-foot by 48-foot primary panel and a 50-foot by 25-foot secondary panel on a 60-foot OAL structure. For softball, two 100-foot by 28-foot systems were replaced on Class 5 poles (40-foot OAL, 30-foot above grade) covering the first and third baseline positions. All panels were custom-built to fit the existing pole placement at 25-foot and 50-foot intervals. Poles were retained; only netting was replaced.
Outcome
The project was successfully completed, providing both the baseball and softball programs with fresh, custom-fitted netting systems built to Gorilla Netting's standard 5-year warranty coverage.
