DuringDuringCanterbury School of Florida in St. Petersburg brought Gorilla Netting back for a second phase of sports netting work. This phase added barrier netting behind both football end zones and a new football goal post, building on the netting Gorilla had already installed at the school.
The challenge
What the field was up against
Canterbury School needed to protect spectators and surrounding property from errant football activity at both end zones.
The existing goal posts also needed replacing, and the full scope had to be coordinated and installed around the school's operating schedule.
What we built
The system we designed and installed
Gorilla Netting demolished and removed the two existing field goal posts, then installed two new end-zone barrier netting systems, one behind each end zone, on 25 ft OAL wood poles embedded directly into the ground.
Gorilla also supplied and installed a new semi-permanent football goal post built to high school specification: a 6-5/8 inch pole, 8 ft offset, 30 ft uprights, and a 23 ft 4 in width, set in ground sleeves with protective pads.
