Gorilla Netting completed a Phase 2 sports netting project at Canterbury School of Florida, delivering end-zone barrier netting systems behind both football field end zones, along with the supply and installation of a new football goal post. The project built on prior netting work at the school, expanding their athletic facility infrastructure.
Client: Canterbury School of Florida
Location: St. Petersburg, FL
Services: Sports Field Netting
Challenge
Canterbury School needed to protect spectators and surrounding property from errant football activity at both end zones. The existing goal post also required replacement, and the full scope needed to be coordinated and installed within the school's operational schedule.
Solution
Gorilla Netting demolished and removed the two existing field goal posts and installed two new end-zone barrier netting systems — one behind each end zone — on 25-foot OAL wood poles embedded directly into the ground. A new semi-permanent football goal post (6-5/8-inch pole, 8-foot offset, 30-foot uprights, 23-foot 4-inch wide HS specification) with ground sleeves and protective pads was also supplied and installed as part of the scope.
Outcome
The project was signed and completed in early 2025, giving Canterbury School a complete and protected football facility with new netting and a code-compliant, school-specification goal post.
