Without the right backstop and overhead netting, foul balls and errant throws can reach spectator areas and put fans and players at risk.

The work also had to fit around other contractors on site, who were building new backstop knee walls and installing new lighting at the same time. On the football field, the old goal catch netting behind the end zones was due for replacement.

Gorilla Netting coordinated with FIT and the other contractors, building the backstop netting systems while the knee walls and lighting went in.

The baseball and softball fields each received a new cable-suspended tie-back backstop netting system that extends over the dugouts for added foul ball containment. Because of how the two fields sit, the crew used the back support poles to integrate both backstop systems and ran the overhead netting and cabling from those shared poles.

On the football field, Gorilla Netting demoed the old goal catch netting behind the end zones and replaced it. The crew also supplied custom branded padding for the backstop knee walls.
