AfterEmbry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a school focused on aviation, aerospace, and related fields, brought in Gorilla Netting in 2019 for a custom netted drone enclosure at its Daytona Beach, Florida campus. Gorilla designed and built the enclosure to Embry-Riddle's specifications.

What the program needed
Flying and maneuvering drones is a core part of an aviation and aerospace education, and Embry-Riddle needed a safe, controlled place for students to practice it. Given the specialized nature of its programs, the university needed a tailored enclosure designed around the specific requirements of its own drone operations.
What we built
The system we designed and installed
Gorilla Netting designed and constructed a netted drone enclosure 65 ft long, 65 ft wide, and 40 ft high. Strategically placed steel support poles carry #36 1-3/4" treated knotted nylon netting, creating a secure space for drone operations.
The system is backed by a 5-year warranty.
