Gorilla Netting was awarded a multi-section baseball barrier netting installation at Daytona State College through general contractor SGC Fields. The project encompassed four distinct netting sections across the college's baseball facility, delivering a comprehensive engineered netting system without down guys.

Client: Daytona State College

Location: Daytona Beach, FL

Services: Baseball Netting

Challenge

Daytona State College required new baseball safety netting across multiple sections of their ballpark to protect players, coaches, and spectators. The project was coordinated through a construction manager and required precise sizing and execution across four separate sections.

Solution

Gorilla Netting designed and installed four baseball barrier netting sections: Section 1 at 132 feet by 20 feet, Section 2 at 173 feet by 20 feet, Section 3 at 190 feet by 20 feet, and Section 4 at 202 feet by 40 feet — totaling nearly 700 linear feet of netting coverage across varying heights. The systems were installed without down guys per the project specification and were engineered to meet applicable wind code requirements.

Outcome

Daytona State College verbally awarded the project to Gorilla Netting, followed by a formal change order from SGC Fields. Installation is scheduled for Q1 2026, positioning the college's baseball facility for a fully protected season.
