AfterThe City of Brownwood, Texas needed a better way to control wind-blown litter and debris. Gorilla Netting designed and installed a custom-built litter control netting system, also known as a litter control fence: a new 850 ft run on new wood poles, plus new netting on the existing 1,200 ft run.

What the site was up against
Like many cities, Brownwood had to keep litter and debris contained, and traditional methods were falling short.
The city wanted a system that would control litter reliably while staying environmentally friendly and clean-looking. Without one, wind can carry debris past the site and onto the surrounding areas.
What we built
The system we designed and installed
Gorilla Netting replaced the netting on the city's existing 1,200 ft run and built a new 850 ft run on new wood poles, both 25 ft high.
The system uses knotless polyester netting, powerline and utility-grade hardware, and wire rope. It is engineered to meet or exceed local building wind codes and environmental and government codes, with a licensed professional engineer overseeing its structural integrity.

The City of Brownwood now has 2,050 ft of 25 ft high litter control netting: new netting on its existing 1,200 ft run and a new 850 ft run, with knotless polyester netting, powerline and utility-grade hardware, and wire rope, engineered to meet or exceed local building wind codes to catch wind-blown debris.
