Gorilla Netting installed a 50 ft temporary netted barrier for the USGA at the 2023 US Open at The Los Angeles Country Club, then took it down and stored it after the tournament.

What the tournament needed
The USGA hired Gorilla Netting to install a 50 ft temporary netted barrier at The Los Angeles Country Club for the 2023 US Open, then take it back down after the tournament. The install started in the January rain, alongside other trades working on the course and right beside the neighboring homes.
What we built
The system we designed and installed
Gorilla Netting coordinated every step with the USGA and the club. Starting in January 2023, the crew drilled and set a long run of wood poles with a digger derrick, working off ground mats and keeping the auger spoil on tarps to protect the course.
From boom lifts, the crew strung the top cables, added steel spreader arms, and hung black netting panel by panel along the range edge and the residential hedge line.

What it means for the event
The barrier stood through the 2023 US Open. In July the crew took the netting and poles back down and stored them for future use, and the range was cleared.
