AfterLake Lindero Country Club in Agoura Hills, California brought in Gorilla Netting in mid-2019 to deal with problems in its existing driving range netting. Gorilla repaired the range netting and built a custom horizontal net to keep golf balls out of the drainage creek that crosses the range.
The challenge
What the creek was up against
A drainage creek runs across the full width of the driving range. It caught short drives, washed golf balls away, and had been an ongoing problem with the previous netting system.
At the same time, the range netting itself was damaged, creating a risk of property damage and injury to patrons and passersby. It needed a quick repair, and the creek needed a durable, reliable fix built around the range's unusual layout.
What we built
The system we designed and installed
Gorilla Netting mobilized quickly and repaired the most critical areas of the damaged netting first to cut the risk of property damage and injury. The crew then mended and replaced the lower priority panels to bring the whole system back to full working order.
Over the creek, Gorilla designed and installed a custom horizontal netting system that keeps balls from getting into the water. Like a pond netting system, it has a short skirt and an access system so grounds crews can still maintain the area.
