Gorilla Netting Completes Backstop Netting Installation at Bill Wood Field
Cable-suspended tie-back backstop netting installers deliver a 120-foot by 40-foot spectator protection system for North Platte Legion Baseball in Nebraska.
Gorilla Netting recently completed a backstop netting installation at Bill Wood Field in North Platte, Nebraska—home of the North Platte Legion Baseball Board. The project upgraded spectator protection with a cable-suspended tie-back system measuring 120 feet long by 40 feet high above grade.
Engineering and materials
The system uses #36 1-7/8-inch twisted knotted netting with powerline-grade hardware and wire rope, engineered to meet local building wind codes and environmental requirements. Tie-back anchorage minimized pole footprint while preserving sight lines for fans behind home plate.
Turnkey installation
Gorilla Netting backstop netting installers handled layout, cable tensioning, and panel hanging under the company's Target Zero safety program. The completed install includes Gorilla Netting's 5-year warranty on materials and labor.
