Springstead High School, located in Spring Hill, Florida, first reached out to Gorilla Netting in early-2021 to design a netting system that would protect the homes surrounding the backside of the baseball and softball fields from foul balls and protect the people who watch the games.
Gorilla Netting designed the 600’L field sideline perimeter and overhead netting systems using our #36 1-7/8” twisted knotted nylon netting. In addition, we utilized H1, H2, and H3 class wood poles installed at heights of 25’H, 50’H, and 68’H above-grade. These wooden poles are grown out of sustainable tree farms across the country specifically treated for durability.
Post-installation, Gorilla Netting met with staff of Springstead High School. By the excitement in their voices, they were delighted with the quality of the netting, the netting project as a whole, and how much safer they will be watching the games with their new overhead netting system.
