Gorilla Netting was awarded and completed a major driving range netting installation at Augusta National Golf Club — home of The Masters — working through general contractor Turner Construction Company. The project involved supplying and installing a new netting system across the back of Augusta National's practice range, replacing the existing system on new structural poles.
Client: Augusta National Golf Club
Location: Augusta, GA
Services: Driving Range Netting
Challenge
Augusta National required a complete replacement of their driving range netting system. Turner Construction, the GC already performing work on the property, engaged Gorilla Netting to handle demolition of the current system and installation of a new, engineered replacement. The client's timeline required completion by the end of September.
Solution
Gorilla Netting designed and installed a 320-foot by 40-foot driving range netting system across the back of Augusta National's practice range on new steel poles. The scope included demolition of the existing system, supply and installation of the new netting, pole work, cable, and utility-grade hardware. Both wood and steel pole options were quoted; steel was selected. Down guys were incorporated into the structural design.
Outcome
The project was successfully completed for one of the most recognized golf facilities in the world. Gorilla Netting delivered a professional-grade, engineered driving range enclosure that meets Augusta National's exacting standards.
