WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL LEAD TIME?2022-03-28T13:28:05-04:00

Lead time to begin an installation can vary. However, the average lead time is 2-4 weeks. If your netting system is smaller in size and doesn’t require the number of materials as the average netting system, the lead time could be 1-2 weeks. If your netting system is larger (i.e., 100’+ steel poles), your lead time could be 6-8 weeks or more.

We always do our best to streamline logistics, current installation projects, and the crew travel to accommodate our customers’ needs. But, be that it may, there are times when our installation calendar is quite full, and projects may need to be scheduled out a little further to begin.

CAN I INSTALL IT MYSELF?2022-03-28T13:26:55-04:00

If you’re willing and able and have the equipment necessary to install one of our netting systems, then yes, of course. We can offer consultations and have one of our team members guide you through the installation process. Unfortunately, however, we cannot warranty the netting systems installed by others.

HOW LONG DOES A NETING SYSTEM INSTALLATION TAKE TO COMPLETE?2022-03-28T13:47:03-04:00

Each netting system is unique to its application, location, the season of installation, etc. Depending on the size of the netting system and the time of year it’s being installed, the turnaround time will vary. If your budget allows for multiple crews and extra equipment, it’s possible to expedite installation.

DO YOU CONDUCT A POST INSTALLATION INSPECTION?2022-03-28T13:22:00-04:00

Yes. Once the installation is complete, the foreman or field superintendent on-site will conduct a post-installation inspection on all the netting panels, cable, and hardware. This is also done periodically throughout the installation. Thus, each phase will have an inspection – pole installation, cable and hardware installation, and finally, the netting.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A BARRIER NETTING SYSTEM2022-03-28T13:18:32-04:00

There are many benefits to having a barrier netting system. Depending on the netting system application will determine the final answer.

However, the first one is protection, protection of people, property, traffic, crops, and the environment. Second is containment; containment of balls of play, technology such as UAVs, and litter and debris. The third is saving money; saving valuable product blowing away by installing a windbreak fence will save you money from liable suits for injuries and damaged property. Forth is security—with a visual barrier such as a privacy screen fence, you can block the view of unwanted passersby. Additionally, with a contraband netting system, you can mitigate or stop the flow of contraband from specific entrance points.

HOW DOES A NETTING SYSTEM WORK?2022-03-28T13:17:18-04:00

Depending on the application, a barrier netting system can contain, deflect, or secure. For example, barrier netting systems contain or deflect balls of play and other sports equipment like bats. In addition, netting enclosures contain and secure new technology being developed, such as UAV software and hardware. Finally, security netting like anti-contraband netting is used to mitigate, deter or stop contraband from being dropped into jails, prisons, or detention centers by drones – or – to mitigate, deter or stop contraband from being tossed/launched over security perimeter fences into areas accessible by inmates or persons who want to cause harm.

HOW LONG WILL IT (NETTING) LAST?2022-03-28T13:13:54-04:00

Gorilla Netting Systems will last for a long time.  There can be a small amount of maintenance required from time to time if you have one of our retractable systems or one of our emergency separation systems, or even after a bad storm. Still, the structure will last as long as it’s being maintained properly. Maintenance after storms usually consists of making sure there is no debris caught in the net and left where tears can be caused.

The netting material life can depend on the amount of UV, or severe weather, that the system is subjected to. The typical netting material will last 8-10 years, but the structure itself will last much longer.

CAN THE NETTING PANELS BE REPLACED?2022-03-28T13:12:51-04:00

Yes, the netting panels can be replaced whenever required. In fact, the netting panels could be removed in preparation for approaching storms and placed back after the storm passes.

If there were a random tear in a panel or other type of damage, it’s a lot easier and less costly to replace a netting panel or even two over replacing an entire system of netting.

IS THERE MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?2022-03-28T13:11:15-04:00

Typically the answer is no. However, we do provide retractable (Gorilla Trac) and emergency separation (ESS) systems that will require minimal hardware maintenance for preventative measures. Or, in the case of an ESS system, the reinstallation of netting panels after a breakaway in a high wind storm.

If a stationary system requires maintenance, it is typically because it’s older, weathered, or has storm damage of sorts.

WILL YOUR NETTING SYSTEMS STAND UP TO SNOW AND ICE?2022-03-28T13:05:28-04:00
